We recently bought a boat and have yet to take full delivery (winterized). We live in the Northern Virginia area. We were offered to purchase vantage paint protection for about $3,000, warranty for 5 years. We are wondering if anyone has any experience with it and if it’s worth the price. Thanks.

Sounds like the lease protection car dealers are now pushing to "protect" you on lease turn in. They take the cars back anyways.

IF you are planning on offloading the boat in a year or two it *might* be worth it. IF instead this is a long time purchase, just understand boats get dinged at the dock - its part of ownership. Mine has a couple nicks in it now and its only (3) years old. They're character for the boat.

Personally, I can find better things to spend $3k on then paint protection on a boat.
