Howdy,
I've got a 98 Four Winns 225 Sundowner that has a 1 piece VDO Instrument panel with an integrated depth gauge that's mounted in the bottom of the boat (It's not really thru the hull, because it is exposed to the outside).

My problem is this, any time I get behing another boat, even it deep water, (it can be anywhere from several feet to several hundred yards, it doesn't make a difference), as long as I am in between their wakes, the depth alarm goes off, the entire time.

I assume this is from bubbles and or silt stirred up (but it happens in 20+ feet of water also).

I'm looking for a resolution, does anyone know about this, the alarm is set to go off at 3 feet by the way.
Anyone know of a way to put a time delay or MUTE switch on an integrated panel?

HELP!

Thanks,
Paul
