Lewis county NY legislators have proposed a vehicle usage tax . $10 or $20 per year depending on weight. What a crock. I'm really starting to wonder if I made the right choice putting up a new house in this area.

I didn't move here,I've lived here all my life. I just put up a new house on the 10 acres my grand parents bought in 1927. My mom is 82 years old and has nobody in the area except me and she likes it here. What else could I do? Please don't answer that!

I've been wanting to get out of here for years now, but you just can't make the money, in the field of work I'm in, anywhere else!

Texas is on my list of places I would love to live in.

texas aint a bad place to live

course ya wind up lookin like a hunk of leather living there!

hehehe

baked and caked on land ya staked

:p

I suppose thats why they put those giant motors on the bass boats in texas, to make a breeze fast enough to create a chill factor, in blazing 112 degree heat, 100 mph might bring it down to merely intolerable

air conditioning on everything else

Don't worry, that $10 tax won't last long.
It soon will be $150.

Kenny- You don't need to make as much money in most other locals. If your housing is cut by 70%, and your taxes by 30%, you should be ok in your profession.

Typical New York!

One way or the other, the legislators in Albany ARE going to get our money, so that they can redo their offices in the Capitol Building!

I can't think of the legislator's name, who recently had his office redone at the taxpayers expense.

Cost something like $2.5 million!

These office spaces are only maybe 12' X 20', or 15' X 25' at the most!?

How is it possible to spend $2.5 million of taxpayers dollars, on that little space??

Here in tenn they go under the guise of county wheel tax. Different in every county here where I live it is fifty dollars a year per vehicle and I have six vehicles so figure that.

No better in Oregon...

Now I hear there is a county (Multnoma maybe) that wants to regulate everything about your pet!

They already tried to impose a tax surcharge on pet food (that was quickly abolished).

Now there is talk about regulating your pet.
Something about having to register it by the time it's a few weeks old, to turning in a certificate of death within 14 days... Among other rules and laws.

Dog runs away and gets hit by a car...You don't know about it. Now you get fined because you didn't tell the state the dog is dead!

When is this Bull*** going to stop?

H.
