Velvet Drive 71/72 V drive tech ?

Been asked to help with one, can the trans be removed from the V section while in the boat.Trans is now jammed in fwd gear.

Nope, the transmission is between the engine and the V drive.

I should have been clearer Don.Can the V section be slipped off the trans, and then remove the trans from the engine or does the complete assm. need to be removed as a unit..

They can be removed as a unit or sepreately. The only thing between them is a gasket and a splined coupler.
