Verify model/serial number / Evinrude 70

Hi there, I’m brand new to this and am having trouble being 100% sure of the year of my Evinrude 70 engine.

Model: 70673D
Serial: J0016514

Is this a 1976?

I’ve been calling around Portland, OR for service, and apparently no-one works on engines before 1980.

Correct it is a 76 model.------There really is no difference between a 76 model and an 81 model.-----Easy motors to work on.-----First thing is to post actual compression test values here.
