I have a 1972 Trojan 25' with 225 hp. Merc. that I would like to quite down if possible. I'm wondering if the 40 yr. muffler might be burned out and thinking of upgrading to a new Vernatone or Verantone MKII. Is this a waste of money? Is the MKII worth the extra dollars? It's a single exhaust with no hope of converting to dual. I plan on staying with the original 4" set up and have room for the slightly larger MKII. I'm hoping someone else has been down this trail before.
