very old evinrude actual year?

hey guys!i won an old rude on ebay and would like to confirm the actual year of the motor.auction said it was a 1935 but i get 1939 when i search .serial number is 6039-50069.for 92 bucks i will keep it what ever year it is anyways but it would be cool to know for sure.

The nearest i can get (two lists) is 1939 - 1950 !

same thing 1939-50 22.5 hp. go to AOMCI.ORG and somebody can figure the year by serial number

picked the motor up allready,what a beast!it will proably take a week just to figure out how to start it and run it let alone fixing anything but it has great potential.very cool looking ,at the very least it will make a great wall hanger and for 92 bucks you cant go wrong.
