Hello everyone. New to this forum. I just bought a boat with an early 90's 25hp Mercury tiller. I had read on this forum about using Sea-Foam to clean the carbs, etc. The can gave directions for how much to use and said use more to clean things out, so I added about 3/4 of a can to 5 gallons of gas/oil mix. I have run the boat twice since doing this, and I'm getting a lot of smoke off the motor, it seems especially at low speeds.

Is this normal? I suspect it's just the motor cleaning itself out, but just wanted to check in with the experts.

Thanks.

Burning off all the napatha that is in your gas now, too. Should smoke like a housefire.
