Vessel ID and info

I just purchased what I THINK is a 1972 strahm 'exciter' boat. With a 1972 Chrsler 85hp outboard. The boat is a tri-hull walk thru bow. I don't know how to measure its length, ID its year for sure or find information on loads and such. Any help will be appreciated.

It wasn't until 1972 that the USCG required placards and the such for recreational boats. You just might get lucky and there will be a HIN stamped into your hull, be on the starboard side right below the rubrail.
