So here it is I have a bayliner 185 that developed a vibration when I turn I have had it looked at twice .. and know one can figure it out. it has a alpha 1 with a 4.3 L we replaced the u joints and check engine alignment all is good . it runs fine and doesn't seen to be hurting anything the shop said there is nothing wrong with it every thing checks out .. not sure if we are missing something .... any help or ideas would be great:confused:

Wthout being there and not knowing what "everything" checks out means, I can only speculate. Did u-joint repair come in attempt to fix this vibration? Or did the vibration show up after.? Is the trim tab on outdrive loose? Is their excessive play in the steering components? Vibration at full turn? Right and left? All speeds? Do you feel it in steering wheel? More detail might help.

Is your prop bent or dinged up?

Okay let me start from the beginning last season I accidentally started the boat with the out drive all the way up I got a vibration shortly afterwards so I had the U joints replaced the vibration went away but later came back So I had the U joints checked out again and everything checked out fine The vibration starts about one third of the way through the turning range Left or right about the same in both directions it does not vibrate when it's going straight and that trim adjustment does not seem to make any difference with it. I cannot feel any vibration in the steering wheel, but you can hear it And the shop cannot find anything mechanically wrong with it There is no play in the steering components everything feels fine. The prop is not dinged so I don't believe it is bent, So at this point I am just at a loss of what to do with it... I hope I covered everything and any help would be great!!!

My old boat did that before I changed the gimbal bearing. Pull the drive off and feel how smooth it is.

99% it's a gimbal bearing. This is a classic sign of wear. It's been apart, so it is unlikely that you have a bellows leak, but look for water anyway. Usually it's water ingress that gets them, but it could be that your run-while-trimmed toasted it.
