I have a Slickcraft 235 that we're starting to go through and we are wondering if this seat can be repaired or if we need to bite the bullet and recover it. The rest of the seat is in pretty good condition. I did get a quote of $250 to redo the entire seat. BTW - I have a second seat with the same situation. So, should I spend $500 or not (LOL)Thanks in advance guys, Chris

Can't see your picture... about the only way to get pics posted anymore is to open a free Photobucket account then past the IMG code right into your message.

We had some vinyl seats repaired that had panels that had cracked (the rest of the vinyl looked pretty good). Let's see what you're dealing with and I can tell you if our situation was similar.

Without pictures it is impossible to say. If they are just the seat cushions, then I'd say that sounds a little high. If it is the seats, as in captains and front passenger seat, then depending on the design you can buy new ones for about that price. When I was doing the full refurb on my 87 SR 180 BR, the 2 front seats were looking so sorry for themselves. I removed the vinyl and found that the inside was made of plywood and like the rest of the plywood on the boat was rotted through and through. The seats could not be saved. I bought 2 new swivel seats from V e a d a, for about $200 apiece and they look great. The insides are made from moulded plastic, so no rot.

I got my whole sundeck redone for $300 and this is on a 8'6" beam boat. It has 2 colors and a wave so it is not the easiest job. The price sounds high unless these seats are special.

Lot of it depends on how hard it is to find the matching vinyl. Cost $300 to recover the spotter seat in my inlaws Response.

$250 per seat sounds like a good price if its the whole seat.
