Hello, I am at interior state of my 1959 Harvey Restoration. I have attached a picture that shows the original interior, and it is the Star Whiz model. It has none of the original seating in it as it has two walmart front seats with pedistals that are fastened to a 2x4 that runs over the floor. In the back the PO just made a bench seat out of milkcrates and put it in there. I am wondering where I can find seats that look similar to the front seats in this AD, and furthermore how I can make the bench seat in the back lightweight and I need it to be removable and the top cushion fold down for access to the gas tank and battery behind it and under the splashwell. Thanks

Re: Vintage Seating

yeah, I think you're gonna have to make your own from scratch. the chances of finding an exact match are slim and none. there are tons of threads here in the resto forum that can show you how to do it. thankfully, the benches aren't very complex, so it should be pretty easy to build the frames. just be sure to seal them with epoxy or fiberglass and resin. good quality foam can be a little pricey, but the rest should be pretty cheap. good luck. keep us posted.
