VMAX Carb or HPDI?????

I am getting a Blue Wave 220 Deluxe w/ extreme deck and the boat is rigged w/ a vmax 150 carb. I would like to know if I should upgrade to the HPDI and also if this motor is big enough. I demoed the boat with 3 guys and it ran 47mph. It may go faster when I get used to the trim. I am looking for the best combo of performance, economy and longevity. Please help before I take delivery. Thanks.

The V-max 150 has a long history of reliability, performance and economy. While the fuel economy may not be quite as good as the HPDI, the overall operating costs if properly maintained may be much less with the carb model. The HPDI seems to require more maintence and be more expensive to maintain on a long term basis,as well as being more senstive to fuel.
