Meters are for 12 volt system.<br />When the keys are in the off position on either of my two out board, the respective voltmeter reads 12V (with batteries off too). When the ignition is turned on, each meter reads 18 (pegged). When I put a multimeter on the lugs I do have 12v at the lugs when on and 0 when off.<br />The meters have 2 lugs (labeled 1 and 2 or thats what it looks like) besides the groung and light. The harness for the gauge has tree cables of which only 2 are connected and the third isn't. The motors are Johnsons and the meters appear to be original to the boat and engines(2000).<br />Any thoughts? Can the meters be zeroed?
