Voltage Drop

I have a 2005 fuel injected Volvo 4.3 gxi e. Issue started today where I would try to start the engine, turn key and fuel pump would come on but as soon as I tried to start the volt meter would drop to zero from 13v. Changed battery and same results. Any thoughts? 20

You have a short or a bad battery cable or connection at the battery. When you say changed the battery you do mean swapped out for a new one I trust.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... Odds are you've got corroded wires in the system,.....

Start at the battery terminals, 'n clean 'em to shiny clean metal, both ends of both cables,.....

Check wiring but you also might have a seized or internally shorted starter...be careful...that can generate a lot of heat...any smoking or hot metal smells when you try to start?
