I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out. I was out on the water the other day and my volt gauge on my Horizon went out. When I say went "out," I mean while running the boat at about 40 mph, all of the sudden I lost power to the engine and I noticed the volt gauge had spiked then drop to zero. All of my other gauges where fine and I still had power to the dash/radio/blower/bilge. I tried to turn the ignition key to start her up and nothing. Checked all the dash fuses, fine. It didn't look like any corrosion around the volt gauge connections. Checked the emergency cut off switch, fine. Then all of the sudden after a few minutes I gave her a shot at starting again, and she fired right up. Very strange.

The boat has been running fine since but was wondering where one would start in troubleshooting this gauge issue??

Thanks for all the input!

The Dash Radio, Blower, and Bilge Pump are powered by the House Fuse Block.
The Engine and the Voltage Gauge are powered through the Ignition switch.
Either the Ignition switch is intermittent, or the power suppling the switch has a problem.
If you shrug this Off, it will return.

Thanks for the reply UW! I'll start at the ignition switch and see what I can drum up. :joyous:
