I have a 1984 capri 19' with a volvo penta aq125a/270 and when i lower the motor it does not lock into place. Ive adjusted it a bit but to no avail, any help will be appreciated.
I have the same problem, but admit I am a newbie. The lower unit flies out of the water when put in reverse, dont lock. is this normal. It an 82 Bayliner aq125a/270. Any help out there?
Just do a search for "reverse pawl" or "Volvo Reverse" and you'll see a ton of topics on this. If you go back a few pages you'll probably find a few posts from a week or so ago on this very topic.
