Just wondering peoples opinions on what to check in the following circumstances. Coming back from fishing yesterday a problem must have developed with the trim on my leg. It dropped down and dragged on the ground. It has ground away most of the skeg and some of the prop. There now seems to be a bit of up and down play in the leg as well.... Hopefully hasn't damaged prop shaft etc. What are the basics to check after such an incident or straight to the shop??

welcome aboard.

taking to a shop will be pricey on the VP drive. do you have any pics of the skeg damage?

most likely the play is stressed or damaged components in the H-frame. Prop may be able to be repaired. Skeg can be repaired.

you will need to pull the drive and inspect a bunch of pats
