volvo 330 hp starts and then stalls after ten seconds or so

Hi my name is scott. I have a glastron with a 7.4gl 330 hp 450 cu engine

when starting my engine I pump the gas a few times as normal and then turn it over. it fires up and runs for about ten seconds, then dies. (I hate it when that happens ) i can start it as many times as i want and it will always fails. Nice feature if you like starting your engine for the fun of it.

The engine showed no signs of failing, this behaviour just came on all of a sudden. I have changed the main fuel filter, canister type mounted under the fuel pump and same problem. Could use some help here identifiny this problem. So much for fishing today

What is the full model number of your engine, need the letters after the 7.4GL.

See if there is a oil pressure sensor for the ecm,this will prevent the fuel pumps from running when in the run mode.SERVICE MANUEL ADVISED!!

It's a Volvo, no oil pressure switch, and it's a GL, which indicates carbed, No ECM.
Even if it was EFI and had an ECM, service mode doesn't shut off the fuel pumps, it just locks the timing.
