Volvo 4.3GL Intake drain

Hello Don,

On an earlier thread in 2008 you posted a pic of the intake showing the plug under and behind the alternator bracket, saying it needs to be drained, the only way to remove that pipe plug is to remove the thermostat cover, then you have easy access, even removed though there still is a about 1/4 - 3/8" water in the intake, can't tilt the boat on the trailer low enough to get it all out, is this a worry, should I try to suck it out, absorb it out, what ever it takes to remove it?

Ayuh,... No need to pull the t-stat housing,...

just use a ratchet, extension, 'n 12 point socket...
