Volvo 5.7 rough idle

Hey folks, i have a 5.7 with a 1409 Edelbrok carb that has a rough idle/shake. Engine evens out once i give it the slightest throttle. The engine has new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. I am not really a carb fan or much knowledge about them. What could i start looking at?

Start with a compression testI did I have 165-170 across all cylinders.

I did one about 2 weeks ago. I have 165 to 170 across all cyls.

Then look at how you have the carb set up.

If it smooths out above idle, there is an issue with the carbs idle circuit. Either a setting, or debris in the carb passages

Will look into the carb and make sure its in working order. Hopefully that takes care of the issue.
