When replacing the outdrive on my Champion, (the old one was geared for a 4cyl) and then noticed steering on my replacement was way too stiff. Tried working it loose, but my thoughts are to disassemble it to see why it is tight.
Can anyone tell me the proper way to do this and what problems I may encounter when doing so? What parts may be involved or ofer repair manuals that may help me?
Since I have two outdrives now, the one that was on the boat was a 250 upper with a 270 lower, the newer is a 250. Is it possible to just swap lowers to make it easier?
