Thanks in no small part to the info on these forums I have obtained a set of precision 344 u-joints, ordered the o-rings, gasket and bellows that I need to fix the u-joints on my DP-C. It is giving a fair amount of vibration when the drive is turned left/right and it is time for new u-joints.
I do have a question about the replacement. I plan on removing the upper gear head. It looks like the yoke will stay attached to the upper gear head on one side. Is there room to remove the u-joints without removing the yoke?
I would like to take the whole assy to a driveline or machine shop and have them press out the old u-joints and install the new ones.
