Volvo DP-S Knock

I have a 5.7 GI-F with a DP-S.
After running in the cruise RPM range and the going into neutral, I get a knocking sound in the outdrive, the knock fades away after about 10-15 min. of idling in neutral. My mechanic does not know what it could be, he has pulled the drive done annual service, checked u joints, gimbal bearing etc. Bellows where also changed this season.
I am seeking; advice, information, or any other useful input on this mater.
