Volvo DPS Max HP

Hi all,

long story short I’d like to know if anyone knows the max HP/Torque rating for a 1999 DPS drive?

I’m thinking of building a 600hp motor for my boat but it won’t be much fun if the drive let’s go shortly after, I can’t find any hard numbers on the net, does anyone have any ideas?

Unless your building a 509 or 540 cubic inch big block, how are you going to get 600hp?

be specific.

If you are planning some big cammed small block, you may want to look into reversion, marine cam profiles and the limitations of wet exhaust
