My exhaust manifold on my 2002 Volvo 3.0 is cracked part #3858850. I'm looking for a OEM replacement kit.
The Holly carberator mounts on top so I need the gasket for that as well I assume.
Any recommendations where to buy these products?

Thank you

What is your engine model number?

Out of curiosity, how did it crack? Forget to drain it? Did you drain the block?

The Volvo engine tag shows Volvo 3.0 GSP-C and 4012061117 and 3869148.
The boat was given to me so I don't know how or why the manifold is cracked. Should I stick with Volvo or is there matching after market ?

3858870 is your part number for the manifold. I believe in using only OEM manifolds. Others will differ with that.

If you don't know why the manifold is cracked, you should probably pressure test the cooling portion of the engine block and make sure it isn't cracked as well.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... Seein's ya don't know it's history, ya oughta assume the manifold cracked from freezin',....

So,... Ya oughta pressure test the block, Before ya blow a wada money on a manifold,....

Ya might be needin' a complete bobtail motor,....

Isolate the block's coolin' passages, 'n pressurize it to 'bout 15 psi, 'n Listen,....

It oughta hold air pressure, 'n if it ain't, you'll hear it,....
Follow the sound to the crack/ cracks,....

Yes you can. You are pressure testing the coolant passages in the block. They don't connect to the manifolds.

I can't find instructions explaining the steps on how to pressure test the cooling block checking for leaks. Is there any? ( Volvo 3.0 GSP-C )

Thank you

Do a search. You will have to rig something up with a gas pressure tester and some pipe fittings. You will have to block off a hose too.

I think I got the test completed. No sound of any leaks. I blocked the one hose to the manifold and one drain hose.

Correction I did slightly hear and then notice a thin crack. See pic. Very little but air is leaking. If you hold the hose you can feel a sight thumping beat like taking your pluse.

I drained the block by opening the drain hose see pic. It's leaning on the purple air compressor. And I drained what ever was left loosing the long u shape hose at the bottom.

In summary after pressure testing the cooling block the only crack I found was that on top of the thermostat housing, see above pic. I did have the water completely drained out and It did hold the 15 psi. What do you suggest on the thermostat crack that has a slight leak ? Can a guy JB weld it?
