Volvo MD2 sailboat diesel parts.

My neighbor needs a starter for a MD2 Volvo Diesel. Early 70's
The OEM is over $1000 He's retired and can't afford that$$$
​The question is: Are there any salvage yards that deal in just Volvo or any yards that work with just sailboats??
Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

​Someone sold him a "starter" from a golf cart and it helps a bit when starting but not enough.

Jerry, just typed in "Volvo md2 starter site:craigslist.org" (without quotes) into Google. It works to find anything on any of the cragslist sites. Can do the same thing on site:eBay.com or site: iBoats.com. etc
