Volvo Penta 2000 5.0 GI SX out drive

I have an electrical part screwed into a brass T in the starboard block drain hole. The part is metal, circular and a wire plugs into the end. I have no idea what is is and am not able to find it in parts books. Does someone know what the name of the part is.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... I don't do Volvos, but am Guessin' it's a knock sensor,....

Look at the parts diagrams on volvopentastore.com

If its in an oil passage, it would be an oil switch.

In a water passage, could be a knock sensor or aa water pressure switch.
