I'm looking for some help on removing the Volvo Penta 3.0l GLP-J engine from my boat. I can't find the workshop manuals for this engine. All I've found was a 3.0 GS/GL A/B/C manual, will this one work? The only manuals on Volvos website are for printed copies only. Does anyone have the manuals for my engine that tell me how to remove it?

Any help would be great. I blew the freeze plug out of the block that's behind the flywheel cover. Thank you

you can look up your manual here if you want. however using your serial number you can also get the manual from volvo

http://162.144.28.33/lib/library.html

pull the drive
disconnect the exhaust, fuel, electrical harness and cables
undo the 2 lag bolts on the front mount and the rear mount bolts
lift motor out of boat

you have more than just a core plug issue if the aft core plug is out. how did you do the winterization?

I've looked all over the internet for the manual and had zero luck. Thanks for the link but it's not on that website either.

As far as how it was winterized.. I don't think it was. If anything, it was blown out real quick with an air compressor. What other problems do I have?

Still looking for a 3.0 GLP-J manual. I'm ready to pull the engine but as far as reinstalling it, getting it aligned and leveled.. I'm stuck. Any help?
