New boater here. I have a 2002 Glastron 175SX with Volvo Penta 3.0. No prob with starting and idling. But, it consistently has been hesitant to accelerate for 2-3 seconds then it eventually goes. What could be the issue/s? Spark plugs replacement, carburetor adjustment, or fuel filter replacement? Are they easy DIY projects?

Welcome to iboats!:welcome:

In addition to replacing/doing the items you mentioned, which should be done immediately if you don't have service records indicating they were done recently, you should look into the condition of the gas. If the boat has been sitting or there is a bad seal at the gas cap, the gas may be bad.

Forgot to add: Fuel filter and spark plug replacement should be fairly easy on that motor. Consider adding a fuel/water separator if there isn't one.

Thanks NYBo. Gas cap seal is great. I use the boat biweekly. Is there a video, I can watch to change the spark plugs and fuel filter? Could there be water in the bellows? How often should bellows be changed?
