My power tilt on my 2003 Monterey Montura 190 LS with a 4.3 GL A Volvo engine and SX outdrive just quit working while on the lake last weekend. I used Don's troubleshooting tips posted in the above topic and jumped directly from the battery to to tilt motor. It worked. I then tried to trace back to the battery in a very cramped engine compartment. Traced the wires to the main 50 AMP fuse box off of the engine block. There is a simple connector about 1 foot of wire off of this fuse box. I got my hands on both sides expecting it to be tight. The two ends popped right apart. I said to myself "Wow, that was really a loose fit".I plugged the two ends back together and behold, the trim now works. That was it.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone and to post the resolution to my issue so everyone else knows about the connector.
