This one is driving me crazy, Some times the boat powers up and starts normal. Then out of the blue, I don't get power to anything, no tilt, no blower, no horn, none of the gauges light up or turn on, and of course, will not crank. I was thinking open ground somewhere, so replaced battery cable (black) new ground post on engine, Thought I fixed it and it did it again, started and ran a few times then went out and no power to anything. When it is acting up, I have 12v on the Fues box, 12v on ignition switch, but when you turn the key to run the voltage drops way down. Which makes me think open ground again. But what I can't understand is the tilt is wired directly to batt and should not be affected by this issue but it is. If that 50 amp main breaker on the engine is failing, will that kill power to everything? I am at a loss, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. If it helps this is in a Regal 1700 LSR 1999- PS. I am replacing the red power bat cable tomorrow, might as well make it all new

I have replaced the ground (black) with new cable - replacing the Power (red tomorrow) - just curious, would a corroded red power to the same thing?

You can coat contacts with Vaseline or silicon grease to protect contacts too.
