Volvo Penta 5.0 Flywheel

I need to confirm isn't a Volvo Penta flywheel on my Four Winns Sundowner which has a 5.0 liter engine the same has a flywheel you would get from a Ford dealership? Volvo says the flywheel part I have (3853953) is obsolete....

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... If it's a Ford 5.0l, then Ya, same flywheel as a standard shift truck would use in that year,....

What 's wrong with the current flywheel,..??

If it's broken starter teeth,....

Just swap on a new Ring Gear,.... No need for a new flywheel,....

Is the distributor at the front of the engine or the rear of the engine?
