hey guys new to the forum,

I have a 1998 glastron with a 5.0gl volvo penta. Right now it will not start. It does turn over like it want to fire but nothing. If I jump the relay pump, number 30 and 85 and get the fuel pumping it will start and stay running. Ive read people replacing the relay but still having the problem.
Could it possible be the diode?
Could I have a bad kill Switch?
I hope i don't have to replace the fuel pump

Ive look over the internet and have found somethings but haven't really found the answer yet.
Hope you guys can send me in the right direction.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Check the output out of the L2 terminal of your alternator when you have your fuel pump relay jumpered and engine running. It's the signal that goes to the relay to turn it on. It's the green wire. The wire that says it comes from the ignition switch is from the start circuit so that the pump runs during cranking.

I will check that out today or tmrw. If the volts is low does that mean the alternator needs to be replaced?
