I have a 2002 ebbtide deckboat with a volvo penta 5.0 gl. The boat normally cranks and runs fine cruising, tubing, etc. However, 2 times after sitting on lake for 2 plus hours, it started and then cut out during acceleration and would not start back up. If I primed it i would start and shut back off immediately. The first time the marina said the fuel filter was empty and he hooked the gas line up to his tank and it started up and when he reattached the line back to my tank, it started everytime and he could not repeat problem. However, the exact same thing happened yesterday and I had to get towed in. Could fuel pump be going bad? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
