My boat has been is storage for 5 years. The engine started (roughly) initially and then died. The problem was the low pressure pump in the fuel pump assy that wasn't pulling fuel up from the tank. I found a junk assy and switched out the pump and now it starts very roughly, smokes black, and loads up the plugs. I thought the old gas was suspect so I pumped it dry but put the fuel in my truck, car, lawn mower, etc, and they all run as before. Anyway, I am putting new fuel in today but I suspect there won't be a change. Other then monkeying around with the fuel pump, the engine only has about 50 hours on it and previously ran great. Any ideas on the next step?
