I had something come unplugged on my engine and it caused my RPM's to drop rapidly and not stay steady the boat would not run right at all. Once I inspected the engine and saw where this was supposed to go and plugged it back in it still didnt work. I then disconnected the negative terminals to the battery in attempt to reset the computer. This did the trick and the engine started working perfectly. My question is, can someone identify what this is that came unplugged? What can I do to keep it from unplugging again in the future? Thanks!

Its actually not a sensor. Its the engines PCV Valve. It provides ventilation for gases formed during combustion in the crankcase. The ECM was screwed up probably due to the vacuum leak with it out.
