When was the last tune up done?? Check the plugs and wires. The fuel filter should be replaced if it was not in the past year. The carburetor should be looked at. With someone at the helm and the engine off, have your helper give it throttle, you should see a healthy squirt of fuel go down the throat, if not, you could have a problem with the carb. Was it ever rebuilt??
