I got a Volvo Penta Aq125 with a 270 outdrive and the outdrive wobbles back and fourth you can also move the steering wheel back and fourth a couple of inches with out the outdrive turning in the desired direction. when Im driving the boat at low speeds the boat steers back and fourth a couple of degrees left or right until I correct to make it go straight. But when Im going high speeds the steering seems fine. Is there any nuts or bolts I need to check over to tighten up the steering and get rid of the outdrive play?

Thanks:)

Check the connection at the helm make sure cable is secure to the gear head.
check it at the anchor point at the back of the boat (outer cable cover), inner cable to tiller arm connection, tiller arm to steering yoke, the bushings at the yoke to suspension fork, and the bearing/bushing from the fork to intermediate housing.

Lots of connections, a tiny bit in each one adds up:)

Mine does tend to "wander" too at low speeds, I think that is normal with these engine and boat hull designs. You learn to get used to it but I know at first I overcompensated and tried to adjust the steering wheel too much...its not on pavement! By all means though check on all the connections as previously mentioned at least for peace of mind.

The steering componebts have agrease fitting on the inside of the boat at the transom. This usualy get neglected and these parts wear out and need to be replaced.2 bushing and the steering yoke could be bad.
These unit do wander at low speeds if you have trim tabs try running with them all the way down.
If your boat pulls to the left turn the exhaust snout to the left. Jerry
