Re: Volvo Penta AQ140a Cyl head

I had this same issue years ago and the only place I found a head was a junk yard in Tucson, AZ. I think it was called re-volvo (try 1-800-revolvo).

My local machinist did a valve job and ground open the intake/exhaust ports. Was not an 'exact' match as the marine head but it got me back on the water and ran well for years.

Re: Volvo Penta AQ140a Cyl head

Hi Mike, welcome to i-boats!!

The aq140a, aq120b and aq125a use the 2.1 litre volvo car motor B21, commonly found in the 240 series between '77 - '85. The good news is there was a carby version (B21A) and an injected version (B21E).

Good luck.

Aldo
