VOLVO PENTA D4 EVC no throttle in forward gear

On our Volvo D4-210 there is a problem with the forward throttle:
It pops into forward and reverse gear just fine, but when you push the throttle only the reverse gear is "working" and the RPM go up. But when in forward gear, you can push the throttle as hard as you want, it gets no RPM.
Also on the EVC, it seems like on the control panel that the EVC does not recognize that you are in forward gear, so the light does not go from "N" to "D".
If you hold down the "N" button, the RPM go up to 1500 but not any further.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

We checked and the cables dont seem to be the problem
