I am rebuilding the pds on my dp-a outdrive. I am noticing that once I install the last remaining snap ring on the u-joint side of the drive shaft, there will be a little back and forth play of the drive shaft. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I didn't notice it when I disassembled the drive shaft but maybe I just wasn't paying attention. I have spent some time looking at how I have assembled the bearings and I am not identifying anything that I have installed incorrectly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Should be no play radially

Axial play would indicate that the bearings are moving in the bores, or the shaft is moving in the bearings. Both which indicate something is awry

Did you get good quality SKF bearings?
