Fuel in the oil and the bilge has me thinking the fuel pump is bad and is leaking fuel in the motor, and the clear fuel line is probably cracked and is also leaking it in the bilge

I agree. Check to see if tge clear line from fuel pump to spark arrestor has a leak and has fuel in it.

If so, you will nees a new fuel pump and a new clear line

Hi many thanks for the reply
how would the fuel pump cause fuel in the oil ?
Could it be something to do with the carb as it was a refurbished unit
thanks

The fuel pump bolts to the side of the block, so it can either leak from the diaphragm into the block, or from the tygon tubing which runs up to the carb. If enough goes down the throat of the carb and chokes the motor, fuel will run down the cylinder walls

The AQ 205 is a 4.3 (262) V6? If it has a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, then it could be leaking fuel from under the float bowl. The plugs that fill the holes for the main jet passages can leak over time. Quadrajet carburetors were very application specific. Since the last ones were built in the mid 80s, most rebuilds coming off the shelf are a collection of parts. It is best to rebuild the one you have. If it is not the fuel pump, I would pull the carb and look at the area under the float bowl for cracks. Most rebuilders cover this are with epoxy. Another sign would be fuel pooling in the intake under the carb.
Cheers,
Doug
