Hi so I have a very weird problem with my 2000 Volvo penta gsi
My engine won’t start, I have checked the injectors and they are not firing. How ever when I pour fuel down the throttle body it will start and the injectors will then fire and the engine runs great. When I shut it down it I have to pour fuel back in the throttle body to get it to start, so I am at a loss

I used my volt meter this morning to check voltage at the injectors and I did not see any when I was cranking

One side of the injectors will have 12V when key is ON. The other side is grounded by the ECM to turn them ON/OFF. You can read the 12V but would need a NOID light to see them energize, meter isn't going to show

MOB - Man Over Board switch

So I checked to see if my tach would get up to 300 rpm and it’s saying 0

Need to scan for codes. The ECM looks to see if the distributor is firing before it pulses the injectors. My guess with a scanner is the problem is in the distributor
