Volvo Penta GSI crank no start not your typical crank no start

Hi so I have a very weird problem with my 2000 Volvo penta gsi
My engine won’t start, I have checked the injectors and they are not firing. How ever when I pour fuel down the throttle body it will start and the injectors will then fire and the engine runs great. When I shut it down it I have to pour fuel back in the throttle body to get it to start, so I am at a loss

i'd start by checking fuel pressure, both low and high

also, check the MOB switch

My tech is reading 0 when cranking, my port engine will crank above 400 when cranking

So I checked to see if my tach would get up to 300 rpm and it’s saying 0

Need to scan for codes. The ECM looks to see if the distributor is firing before it pulses the injectors. My guess with a scanner is the problem is in the distributor

or tach feed from the motor (grey wire) is grounded

I swapped the control modules over and same thing, nothing

Did you test the rest of the components?
There is a coil inside the distributor
Also disconnect the gray wire on your tach, as Scott said
