Hopefully there are many (or Don S as his info is always so helpful) that can help make this an easy fix.
Here is the situation.
Just went to start the boat after it sat for the winter. It cranked and then it didn't start. Called the local shop they recommended a couple of tablespoons of gas in throttlebody. Said they have seen these lose their prime before. It started but only briefly unitil that gas was no longer. Checked the fuel filter/seperator it is full. Disconnected the fuel line on top of the low pressure pump and there was nothing. Could blow air right through. Mechanic suggested trying to put some fuel in the line. I did but to no avail. I then started checking with a volt meter. I have no juice at either pump meaning I took off both connections and put the meter directly on the terminals. From all my reading online I should get voltage for 2 seconds. I get nothing. Checked the 20amp fuse it is not tripped. In fact I put the volt meter on the back of the fuse where the red wires connect and I had 12volts there. Any thoughts why there would be no current. The model number of the engine is: model 57fcpbyc 1998 volvo penta but also has many OMC tags. As I have heard this was the years that volvo had bought up OMC.
