Volvo Penta Outdrive issuse?

Hypothetically speaking (hah), say you were flushing your motor and you get distracted after unhooking the hose and then back up with the outdrive still down. It was at a pretty good bind, broke a small portion of the bottom of the skag. Here is the problem and this is the only thing I can attribute it to. Now when I try and start the engine it will not turn over, binding. Is it possible that the alingment go jacked up with the outdrive? What would be the first thing that would break in this type of scenario. Could one just realign things and try again? I am sick over this. Help please.

Hard to imagine that would bind the engine. Have you examined the drive carefully? Tilt it up a little and look too. You could always pull the plugs and try to rotate the engine by hand or pull the drive and see if that allows you to start but I really doubt what you did could be causing this problem.

Speaking of alignment, when was the last time you pulled the drive and checked things? Should do it yearly.

I will do those things. I should mention that I did remove the exhaust manifolds and risers on both sides due to them being plugged. But that was so easy I can't imagine how I could have screwed anything up that would casue this.
