Hello everyone! I have a 76 Volvo penta b 130D and is still overheating. I've replaced the impeller and it does suck and pump water. The left side of the motor is cool to the touch. But the right side gets warm. What is my next course of action?

Re: Volvo penta overheating

I would pull the hose off the intake fitting directly below the ujoint bellows and see if that elbow, looks like a thermo housing, is corroded where the hose attaches. that is a common issue. If corroded it can suck air when the boat gets up on plane and the fitting and hose come out of the water. Its an easy check.

Here what I mean.
