Volvo Penta SX Cobra throttle control help

I’m a very new boat owner. I have a 1999 24’ Larson bow rider with a 2007 5.0 mercruiser, and a 1999? Volvo penta sx-m outdrive.

my throttle control box was sticking last season, so I removed it and threw it away. I’m now having an issue finding a throttle assembly with the correct throw that will shift, and accelerate my setup.

I bought a new throttle assembly, but the shift travel is more on the throttle handle, than the outdrive.

The shift cables I removed previously are seastar ccx63317 (I believe the same as 3300 series)

My question is what throttle assembly do I need to purchase to make this work?

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

why not simply lubricate the prior assembly other than throwing it away? a bit of maintenance vs replacing. there even are maintenance manuals for controls

most control assemblies are adjustable as far as throw. read the installation manual

That’s my fault for thinking i could simply bolt a new one on, and be done. Guess I’m learning the hard way

controls are universal and need to be set up for the motor and transmission being connected to it.

the controls would have come with instructions on adjusting throw.

if you bought a seastar or a unit directly from Volvo, there would have been an installation manual.

the volvo drive can also be adjusted for the amount of throw. that information would be in the volvo penta service manual.
