I'm wondering if anyone know what Trim Volts Learned Upper Limit is. I can't get past 2200 RPMs on my Volvo Penta 5.7 Gi. I've gone through my entire ignition system, fuel pressure is good, fuel injectors seem to fire fine. I even pulled my injectors out and cleaned them and they all seem fine. I also checked my exhaust for restrictions and nothing found. I got a hold of a Diacom Marine diagnostics tool and everything seems OK as far as I can tell except this Trim Volts Learned Upper Limit always reads 0.0 volts. Trim Sender Volts, Trim Position Gauge Driver, and Trim Percent all change as I move my trim up and down. I'm wondering if this Trim Volts Learned Upper Limit being set to 0 is keeping my boat in Guardian mode. Anyone have any ideas?

Don't know for sure but I`m guessing that it`s a safety measure to protect the outdrive U joints. I think your motor may sense that your trim is full up and therefore keeping the engine from turning full rpm`s? Just guessing, I`ve never heard of this type of alarm. Hopefully others can be of more help.
